Chose this ‘partially-started’ kit from “The Churchill Collection”, believing it to be complete and in good order………..
Nah!
So far, devised & rebuilt front stub axles, rear axle assembly, exhaust fitment, engine , chassis & cabin assembly.
Had a lot of fun with the engine, adding realistic paint effects based on photos of the real thing in concours condition.
Enjoyed the engineering challenges of working with bronze pipe & rod – never used my digital vernier caliper so much!
Therefore, I’ve decided to make the bonnet removeable, so the Rolls-Royce Straight Six can be seen. (more cutting)
