After a 14 month build I have finally completed my Protar McLaren MP4/2C.

Turns out you can make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Build details – Original Protar kit from the 80s
Lots of scratch building
Brake discs from Top Studio
Brake calipers from Model Factory Hiro
Hose fittings from RB Motion
Carbon decals from Decalcas, Model Factiry Hiro, and Spot Model Decals, and MSM Creation
Paint is Zero Paints brilliant white and custom mix Tamiya fluoro red with Zero Paints Diamond Clear
Lots of other bits and pieces ordered from all over the world
