Revisiting a model made 35 years ago certainly make me realise that my ideas of a properly finished model have developed somewhat.
This really was built ‘Out-of-box’.
It was on display for some time in the 90’s at a model shop in Box Hill, during which time the roof rack disappeared.
There’a a lot of things that I would do differently now, thanks to my involvement with ESSMC, and some of the “Masterful” modellers that I have met.
No, that’s not Safari Dust weathering, Just the Tamiya Clear Gloss has gone off!
I’m trying to source a new set of decals, so I can strip the paintwork & re-do it with
an airbrush, then re-apply the decals & SMS Super Clear coat the lot.
A very nicely detailed interior from Nitto – I see that this kit is still available,
if you’re prepared to pay top-dollar for it.
