“Easy to build kit from Aoshima and with Patto’s Place decals to represent the 1987 Sandown Castrol 500 winner driven by George Fury and Terry Shiel. Model is finished in Tamiya enamels. The ‘Peter Jackson’ Blue paint is a custom mix to match an ‘average’ of colour photos I obtained of the original car. Decals are clear coated in Future. The car raced with hub/brake covers on the wheels which came with the kit but looked ridiculous. Photos of the car in present day ‘historic races’ show the car with wheels similar to those in the kit without the covers – so I left them as is.”
